Maxim Martorana to be featured soloist

Collierville High School junior Maxim Martorana has been selected to perform as a featured soloist at the Tennessee American String Teachers’ Association Solo and Ensemble recital which will be held during the Tennessee Music Educators’ Association state conference on April 12 at 7:00 pm at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville. Maxim is one of only two soloists chosen from West Tennessee for this honor. He will perform “Suite for Viola and Orchestra (Pianoforte) Prelude” by Ralph Vaughan Williams, accompanied by 2020 CMA Educator of the Year, Johnathan Vest. Maxim is the son of Mario and Brooke Martorana. He is a dedicated and talented junior at CHS, where he is the viola section leader of the acclaimed Collierville High School orchestra.
